Healing Scriptures

New Testament

Matthew 4:23-24 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

Matthew 8:7  And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

Matthew 8:14-15  When Jesus came into Peter's house, He saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on Him.

Matthew 8:16-17  When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”

Matthew 9:20-22  And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind Him, and touched the hem of His garment. For she said within herself, “If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole.” Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Matthew 9:29  According to your faith be it unto you.

Matthew 10:1, 8  And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Matthew 12:13  Then Jesus said to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

Matthew 12:15  And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.

Matthew 14:14  And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Matthew 14:35-36  And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, brought to Him all who were sick, and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well.

Matthew 18:18-19  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Some men came, bringing to him a paralytic, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on.

When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” … Jesus said [to the teachers of the law who accused Him]: “Which is easier? To say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’?

And wherever He entered villages, or cities, or countryside, they were laying the sick in the market places, and entreating Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were being cured.

Mark 10:52  Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.”

Mark 11:23-24  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, Whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

Mark 11:25-26  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Luke 4:18-19 (xref Isaiah 61:1-3)  The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised; to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Luke 4:40-41  Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto Jesus; and He laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. Luke 17:19  And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

John 4:46-53  Jesus came therefore again to Cana of Galilee where He had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official, whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him, and was requesting Him to come down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.

Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he started off. And as he was now going down, his slaves met him, saying that his son was living.

So he inquired of them the hour when his son began to get better. They said therefore to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.

John 5:5-9  And a certain man was there who had an infirmity for thirty-eight years … Jesus said unto him, “Do you want to be made well?” Jesus said unto him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” Immediately the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked.

John 11:25  Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

Acts 3:6-8  Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

Acts 4:29-31  Grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak Thy Word, by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Acts 5:15-16  Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

1 Corinthians 12:7-11  The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

1 Corinthians 15:45  And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam (Jesus Christ) was made a quickening spirit.

(There is quickening life in Jesus. He breathes fresh life into us and dwells on the inside of us through His Spirit. There is an impartation of life and healing that comes when the Name of Jesus is called upon. Being in an atmosphere of worship sets the stage for healing to take place, because worship invites God's Presence. And God's Presence is a quickening presence.)

Revelation 22:1-2 And He pointed out to me a river of pure Water of Life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb, coursing down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew Trees of Life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month; the leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations (xref Ezekiel 47:12).
