CHAPTER 6
The
Name of Jesus is the most Powerful Name in Heaven and on earth.
Jesus’
Name contains all authority over every living creature.
Philippians
2:9-11 says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name
which is above every name: that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of
things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that
every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.”
The
Name of Jesus has all authority over every sickness and disease, and over every
demonic force of wickedness in high places.
Luke
9:1-2 says, “Then he called His twelve disciples together, and gave them power
and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And He sent them to preach
the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”
Not
only did Jesus confer authority to His disciples, but He has given all believers authority to heal the sick
and cast out devils. Notice that Mark 16:17 tells us that specific signs shall
follow “those that believe”.
Mark
16:17-18 states, “And these signs shall follow them that believe: In My Name
shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take
up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they
shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
