Laughter
is good for the soul. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Laughter also
strengthens the immune system and the human body in general.
Laughter
and delight keeps us in a good frame of mind, and conquers depression, sadness,
grieving, mourning and sorrow.
The
Bible says, “Therefore, the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with
singing unto Zion, and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads. They shall
obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.”
When
a person is filled with joy and gladness, they begin to sing to the Lord and
worship Him.
When
a person has joy, they are refreshed especially when being with others who are
positive and joyful.
Joy
refreshes the mind and soul, and is health to the body, sinews and all of our
flesh.
Joy
puts a radiance of the Glory of God on our faces and countenance, especially
when we praise and worship Him.
Joy
keeps us in a positive outlook on life and circumstances, and keeps us from
fainting inwardly when storms of life come.
Joy
will calm the storm and remove fear and worry, and will put us in a better
frame of mind when we are facing battles.
When
facing circumstances that are negative, the joy of the Lord will cause us to
see the sunny side of life instead of the gloom and storm clouds. Our focus will be off of what trial we are
going through at the time, and our focus will be on Jesus who is the author and
finisher of our faith. The Lord will get us through to the other side any trial
or negative situation that arises in our lives.
Joy
will help a person to be an overcomer when they are facing setbacks, such as
financial problems, health issues, problems at the workplace, family problems
and so forth.
Joy
will help a person to have an even temper and heal a person’s heart from anger.
Joy
will enable people to extend forgiveness towards others when things happen or
there are offenses.
Forgiveness
is essential in the kingdom of God, and unforgiveness will block us from
receiving all God has for us. It will block our faith from working the way it
should work. Our prayers will be hindered if we harbor any ill will or unforgiveness.
And a person cannot get into heaven with unforgiveness.
To
forgive means to drop the matter and let it go. To not dwell on the offense,
but just forget about it, release the pain and anger, and let it go and drop
the issue. Don’t keep bringing up the issue and rehearsing old things (you hurt
me … you did this or that to me … you disappointed me, etc).
Just
release the hurt and pain over to the Lord, forget the past and drop the issue
and let it go.
When
a person is joyful, they will refrain from griping and complaining, which the
Lord does not care for.
A
person who is joyful and offers thanks to God is someone who fully trusts God’s
goodness and love.
To
have joy is to walk in love with your family and the brethren and everyone
around you.
A
person cannot have hate or ill will and experience joy. The person is very
miserable and tormented.
Joy
sometimes describes hilarity where you laugh and laugh so hard that your stomach
and side hurt.
But
mostly joy is simply feeling calm delight in your soul and mind.
If
a person is agitated or irritated about something, it is hard to feel joy and
peace.
The
Bible talks about going out with joy and being led by peace.
Joy
brings hope, and hope is peace in believing.
Joy
will refresh our souls and brighten our day. It will put a smile on our face
and help us to see the sunny side of life.
It
will take the focus off of our problems or trials we are going through, and put
the focus on Jesus who is able to deliver us from our battles and trials.
A
joyful person is filled with high levels of faith and is positive and not
negative.
A
joyful person has a swing in their step and gives a person a sense of happiness
and calmness.
A
joyful person might wake up in the middle of the night with a song or praise on
their lips. The high praises of God are in our mouth and a two-edged sword (Word
of God) in our hands.
A
joyful person does not worry about what the future holds, but puts their trust in
God. Their delight is in the Lord and He grants them the desires of their
heart.
Some
people overflow with happiness and joy, and are the happy go lucky type of
individuals who always are positive, laugh a lot, and always have a smile on
their face. They are not complainers or doubters, but faith filled individuals
who expect the best and believe the Lord to fulfill His promises in their life.
They don’t seem to worry about their cares, but focus on being positive and
rejoicing.
The
Apostle Paul in the New Testament said to rejoice forevermore. He also said, “Rejoice
in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice”.
Joy
is life and strength to the body and mind and emotions. It puts a person into a
positive, “I can” frame of mind.
When
a person is overflowing with joy, it speaks volumes. They are walking in the
fruit of love, which then produces joy and peace.
Joy
helps a person be an overcomer when they are going through setbacks and trials.
If
a person can laugh their way through trials and begin to rejoice, it’s not long
until the Lord intervenes and wins the battle and gives them the victory and
answers their prayers.
When
a person has hope and joy, they see a positive future in front of them. They
are not afraid to step into the future.
Joy
brings healing to a person’s life. This applies to mental and emotional
healing, physical healing and healing in every other area of life.
Joy
results in a happy family who all get along very well and are in unity and are
kind to each other.
Strife
is an enemy to joy, peace and love and divides families, marriages and
churches. A good book to read is from Joyce Meyer entitled, “Life Without Strife”.
Strife
opens the door to every demonic work, fighting, bickering and contentions,
resentment, ill will and rage and anger.
Strife
divides families and churches. Get the strife out of your life, and then joy
will come and peace and love too.
God’s
anointing and blessings resides upon unity of the brethren and families and churches.
Unity is like the dew of the morning (the anointing) that rests upon our lives
and flows down from the priests to the saints.
Where
there is strife, there is every evil work. Resist strife in your life,
especially in your marriage and family. Walk in love and peace and forgiveness.
Quit arguing and yelling at each other. Quit harboring anger and rage. Take a
stand against strife and get it out of your life and home. Then the blessings
and answers to prayer will begin to flow and come.
When
you have joy you also have peace like a river, and joy like a fountain that
bubbles up.
To
walk in the Anointing, you have to be a person who walks in love, joy and peace
and stays away from strife. And who deals with anger and rage when it first
happens, and doesn’t harbor it in their heart for very long.
Joy
will put a spring in your step, and a song of praise in your mouth. Your life
will also be peaceful and you will have calm delight.
The
word “joy” is an acronym for:
Jesus
Others
Yourself
That
is true joy. Put Jesus first in your life, and others second, and yourself
third, and then you will come to experience overflowing joy and peace and
delight.
The
New Testament talks about “joy unspeakable and full of glory”. Psalm 100 says to make a joyful noise unto the
Lord and to serve the Lord with gladness. And come before His Presence with
thanksgiving.
The
bible says “Let the saints be joyful in glory”.
And
it also says, “Let Zion be joyful in her King.”
Psalms
104:34 says, “My meditation of Jesus is sweet! I will be glad in the Lord!
Joy
can cure a person who suffers with evil forebodings and continual negative
thoughts and angry thoughts. Joyce Meyer talks about the struggle she had with foreboding
thoughts and how she overcame.
To
walk in love, joy and peace is to have a continuous feast.
Living
in love, joy and peace is able to heal the mind from mental illness of any type
and clear a person’s mind to think straight and clearly.
Where
there is the joy of the Lord, there will also be love and peace and unity.
If
you are hurting today or have gone through a major loss of any kind, or have
gone through the death of a loved one, the Lord is able to remove your sorrow
and mourning and replace it with everlasting joy to crown your head. The joy of
the Lord will chase away sorrow and mourning. It will flee away.
Joy
and Rejoicing is your portion. The enemy wants to keep you bound, in a prison
in your soul, and make you miserable. But Jesus came to give us life, and life
more abundantly until it overflows.
And
the Lord wants us to prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers.
By
Jesus’ stripes, we are healed. Peter said “By whose stripes we WERE healed”
(past tense).
Don’t
wait until a future time to receive your healing, deliverance and joy
unspeakable and full of glory. Receive it right now where you are at in your
life.
Jot
will sustain a person while they go through sufferings. Joy will also give the
person hope and faith that their sufferings will come to an end. And the trial
will be over with.
Yes,
when you get to heaven someday, your trials will be behind you and the
sufferings will end. However, you don’t have to wait for a long time until you
do get to heaven. You can have peace and joy right now in the present. Receive
God’s joy, love and peace right now in the here and now.
Sing
to the Lord and offer up praises. Dance before the Lord in the beauty of
holiness.
Give
thanks to the Lord. God does not care for griping and complaining and being
negative. He honors faith, and when you offer up gratitude, it moves Him to
help you and act on your behalf to deliver you from whatever battles or trials
you are going through. Praise and thanks brings the victory.
Delight
yourself in the Lord. Take joy in His Presence. And He will grant the desires
of your heart.
God
bless you.
When the Spirit of the Lord comes upon my heart I will dance like David danced.
When
the Spirit of the Lord comes upon my heart I will sing like David sang.
When
the Spirit of the Lord comes upon my heart I will clap like David clapped.
When
the Spirit of the Lord comes upon my heart I will skip like David skipped.
When
the Spirit of the Lord comes upon my heart, I will bow like David bowed.
When
the Spirit of the Lord comes upon my heart I will leap like David leaped.
