Definition of “Restore”:
Return; set again; recall; recompense; recover;
refresh;
render again; start over; restitution; make amends;
give again; pay again; to bring back to the
original condition
even better than before; make new.
Genesis 20:7
Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he
shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know
thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine. KJV
Genesis 20:14
And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and men-servants, and women-servants,
and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife. KJV
Genesis 40:13
Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee
unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the
former manner when thou wast his butler. KJV
Genesis 40:21

Deuteronomy 30:3-7
Then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on

land that belonged to your fathers, and you will take possession of it. He will

1 Kings 13:6
And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face
of the Lord thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again.
And the man of God besought the Lord, and the king's hand was restored him

2 Kings 8:1-6
1 Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life,
saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou
canst sojourn: for the Lord hath called for a famine; and it shall also come
upon the land seven years.
2 And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and
she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven
years.
3 And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned
out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for
her house and for her land.
4 And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying,
Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.
5 And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a
dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life,
cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O
king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.
6 And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed
unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the
fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now. KJV
2 Chronicles 24:4-5
Some time later Joash decided to restore the temple of the Lord. He
called together the priests and Levites and said to them, “Go to the towns of
Judah and collect the money due annually from all Israel, to repair the temple
of your God. Do it now.” But the Levites did not act at once. NIV

Psalms 41:1-3

Isaiah 61:1-8
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has
anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the
brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness
for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of
our God, to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown
of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a
garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of
righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long
devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for
generations.
5 Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and
vineyards.
6 And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named
ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their
riches you will boast.
7 Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and
instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will
inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.
8 “For I, the Lord, love justice.”

that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He

until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth

Acts 3:21
He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore
everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. NIV
Acts 9:10-16
10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to
him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,”
he answered.
11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and
ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands
on him to restore his sight.”
13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man
and all the harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.
14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest
all who call on your name.”
15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument
to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of
Israel.
16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.” NIV

Galatians 6:1
Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should
restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each
