Chapter 1
All Things Are Possible for
Those Who Believe
God Does the Impossible in
our Lives
“Behold, I am JEHOVAH, the God of all flesh. Is
there anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).
Jeremiah 32:17 says, “Ah Lord God! Behold, You have
made the heaven and the earth by Your great power and stretched out arm, and
there is nothing too hard for You.”
Jesus is the God who does the impossible. Luke
18:27 says, “And Jesus said, ‘The things which are impossible with men are
possible with God.’” (Also see Matthew 19:26 and Mark 10:27.)
The New Testament Greek word translated into
English as “possible” is dunatos. It is defined as:
·
Powerful
·
Capable
·
Mighty
·
Possible
·
Able
·
Strong
·
To have power and ability to do something
On the contrary, the Greek definition of
“IM-possible” is: to be weak, without strength or power, unable, not capable, a
thing which cannot be done.”
There are things that are beyond man’s ability or
power to do. However, since God is GOD, He is not weak, nor incapable, nor
unable, nor without power to do something. God can supersede the natural course
of events.
Throughout the entire Bible, God gives illustration
after illustration of His mighty deeds. The examples of God’s power displayed
throughout the Bible helps to build our faith to believe God to do the
impossible in our own lives.
The issue of waiting on God’s timing for Him to act
on our behalf or bring a promise to pass often trips us up. God’s timing is
usually not our timing. There is time in Heaven, but it’s different than we
tend to think of here on earth (in terms of the ticking away of the clock).
There are two primary Greek words in the New
Testament that refer to time:
1. Chronos – the ticking away
of the clock; seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years. It’s where
we get the word “chronological” (such as chronological events of history).
2. Kairos – the appointed
time; the appointed season; the set time; the proper time.
God operates in both chronos and kairos time, but
most often He works in kairos time.

Abraham and Sarah
In the life of Abraham and Sarah, God promised to give them a son. God said that their descendants would be as numerous as the sand on the seashore and as the stars in the heavens.
At the time the promise was first given, Abraham
was 75 and Sarah was 65. Abraham’s name was originally “Abram” and Sarah’s name
was “Sarai”. Abram means “exalted father” and Sarai means “princess”. God
changed Abram’s name to Abraham, meaning “father of a multitude”, even though
he had no children yet. God changed Sarai’s name to Sarah, meaning “a female
noble, a head person of any rank or class”.
God calls those things which are not, as though
they already were (Romans 4:17).
After the initial promise was established, God
reaffirmed the promise many times thereafter to keep their faith alive. They
had waited for the promise to come to pass for about 25 years. When Abraham was
99 years old and Sarah was 89, God appeared to Abraham in Genesis 18 and
announced that the set time (kairos time) had come, and by this time next year
Sarah would give birth to a son.
Sarah overheard the conversation and laughed. You
can’t blame her. She had waited for all those years, and by now she was too old
to have a child anyways. She struggled emotionally for all those long years of
waiting for the promise. She had been at the point of despair having empty
arms. She felt that the situation was hopeless.
Also, Abraham was now too old to father a child. The
Bible says that he was impotent, and that his seed was as good as dead. Sarah’s
laugh was a mixture of doubt and amusement at the thought of nursing a baby at
the age of 90, and the thought of being able to have intercourse with her
husband at their advanced age.
In Genesis 18:13-14, the Lord said to Abraham, “Why
did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I of a surety bear a child, being so old?’ Is
anything too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto you,
according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
In Genesis 21, the Lord visited Sarah as He had
said, and she conceived and gave birth to a son at the set time appointed by
God. Abraham and Sarah named their son Isaac, meaning “laughter”. God turned
their mourning into joy. Also, God restored the dew of their youth.
After Sarah died, Abraham remarried and had six
more sons, and probably daughters too, although daughters were not mentioned.

Israelites Leaving Egypt
And Crossing the Red Sea
God demonstrated His miraculous power when the
Israelites left Egypt and came to the Red Sea. They were hemmed in from
mountains on the left and the right, and an uncrossable sea stood in front of
them. Their enemies were to their backs pursuing them and they had nowhere to
flee. They were cornered in and trapped. The situation looked impossible. The
only way out was forward through the sea.
Are you in a situation in which you feel cornered
and trapped? God will lead you through your Red Sea.
In fact, the Egyptian army did finally catch up
with the Israelites and would have captured them and taken them back into
captivity, except that the Lord separated the Egyptian army from the Israelites
with a dark thick cloud.
Then after the Israelites all safely crossed over
to the other side, the Egyptians pursued them with their horses and chariots
through the path in the sea. However, the Lord caused a strong wind to come,
and the walls of water crashed back into the sea and every single ones of the
Egyptians, and their horses, drowned in the Sea.
God’s word to the people in Exodus 14, and His word
to us today in circumstances we are facing, is:
“Fear not!” (Be of a strong
mind)
“Stand still” (Remain
stable and calm)
“See the salvation of the
Lord” (The Lord shall intervene on your behalf)
“The Lord shall fight for
you” (He is our Deliverer, Protector and Defender)
“You shall hold your peace”
(You are to remain silent before God and not lift a finger—let God fight this
battle for you. “Be still and know that I am God”, Psalms 46:10)
“Go forward” (Walk forward
in faith and confidence. Expand your faith to believe God to do the impossible)
“For the Egyptians whom you
see today, you shall see again no more forever” (the obstacles you are facing
today will become a thing of the past. Demonic enemy forces opposing and
harassing you will be defeated. Breakthrough is coming!)
“I will harden the hearts
of the Egyptians … then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I
have gained honor for Myself over Pharoah, his chariots, and his horsemen” (As
God destroyed the entire Egyptian army in the Sea, God also sends confusion to
the demonic enemy camp and gives us the victory. God will receive the glory,
honor and fame when He defeats your enemies and performs miracles in your
life.)
“God will be honored in the
sight of the Israelites” (The Lord will receive all the glory and credit for
doing such wondrous miracles in our lives. Others around you will know that
only God could have done that for you.)
As Moses cried out to the Lord to rescue the people
from the Egyptians, God’s reply to Moses in Exodus 14:15-16 was:
“Why do you
cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and
stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it.”
In other words, God is telling us to exercise the
authority He has given to us. He will perform miracles through us.
Rather than spending our time begging and pleading
with God to do something, He’s telling us to speak to our situation—to declare
the Word of God over our situation. He also wants us to take practical steps to
move forward in faith, as He leads.
We are the prophet of our own lives. We have to
take responsibility in learning how to hear God for ourselves and get a word
from Him concerning our situation and what we are to do. Other people’s
prophecies should primarily confirm what you know in your spirit what God has
told you, or at least you should feel a witness on the inside that the word
applies to you. It’s not what others say over us, but what we say over
ourselves that matters the most and carries the most weight.
When we speak negative things, it’s a form of
self-defeating prophecies. It propels you in a direction that is destructive,
and keeps you in a mode of feeling “less than”, such as:
“I’ll never add up to anything.”
“I’m so stupid.”
“No one will ever love me.”
“I’ll always be broke.”
“I’ll never recover from this illness.”
“Things will never improve in my life.”
What you say, it just might end up being your
reality. When we say negative things over ourselves or others, we come into
agreement with the devil by parroting what the devil is saying. Let’s come into
agreement with the Lord by speaking what He is saying over us or others.
You have a much better chance of getting the
desirable things you do want out of life by speaking words that are full of
blessing. Faith-filled words will propel you into a good direction for your
life, and build up your confidence. Speak words such as:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
“I am more than a conqueror. I am an overcomer.”
“God has a good plan for me and I choose to cooperate with His plan.”
“Healing is available to me through the Blood of Jesus. I receive His
healing.”
“I am loved by God and worthy to be loved by other people.”
“God is able to show me strategies of how to earn money, teach me
business skills and financial principles, show me how to come out of poverty
and lack into abundance.”
“God is able to give me creative ideas, lead me into education and teach
me how to invest, teach me about real estate, teach me how to run a business,
or lead me into a career with a profitable income.”
Second Chronicles 16:9 says, “For the eyes of the
Lord search back and forth across the whole earth, looking for people whose
hearts are perfect towards Him, so that He can show His great power in helping
them.”
God is searching for a person who will believe Him
for the impossible, and allow Him to display His mighty power in their life.
He’s looking for someone who will give Him all the credit and glory for
intervening on their behalf.
Chapter 4
All Things are Possible for
Those Who Believe
Gabriel’s Message to Mary,
and the Raising of Lazarus
In Luke 1:26-38, the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary
and announced that she was highly favored of God and that she would bring forth
the Messiah and would call His Name Jesus. Although Mary was faced with the
impossibility of a virgin conception, her response was one of faith.
Gabriel declared that the Holy Ghost would come
upon her and overshadow her, and that with God nothing shall be impossible.
Mary’s response was: “Behold, the handmaiden of the Lord, be it unto me
according to thy word.”
That’s the kind of faith-filled response that God
wants us to have. When He tells us something, He wants our reply to be: “Be it
unto me according to Thy Word.”
In Verse 45 of Luke 1, it says: “And blessed is she
that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told
her from the Lord.”
God delights in doing even more for us than we
expected. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now glory be to God, who by His Mighty Power at
work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even
dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts or hopes.”
Then there is the account of Lazarus. He had become
very ill and was at the point of death. Lazarus’ sisters, Mary and Martha, sent
for Jesus to come and heal their brother. Jesus assured them that “this sickness is not unto death.”
However, it seemed as if Jesus arrived on the scene too late and that there was
no more hope for this situation. Lazarus had died and was in the tomb for four
days by the time Jesus arrived. Jesus demonstrated to us that even death is not
the final word, and the raising of the dead is possible. God still raises
people from the dead today for His glory and adds years to their life.
God also resurrects dead dreams and hopes, and
breathes into us new life.
God is able to resurrect dead marriages or
relationships and bring life and restoration.
God is able to restore dead intimacy functioning,
and restore the dew of your youth.
(In 2011 the Lord gave me a vision where He
revealed to me that He is able to resurrect dead marriages that have ended or
on the verge of divorce, as well as restore youthful functioning. To read that
article, you can find it under “Booklets – Prophetic Words at Harp & Bowl
Meeting”, or “Booklets – Dreams and Visions”.)
Do you have a circumstance in your life which looks
impossible unless God intervenes? Do you have dreams and hopes that are dead? Are
you facing a legal battle? Are you experiencing relationship problems in your
family or marriage, or with your children?
Jesus said in Matthew 17:20: “For verily I say unto
you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this
mountain (obstacle, problem, insurmountable issue), ‘Remove hence to yonder
place’ (or in other words “get out of my way!” … “be uprooted”!), and it shall
remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
Jesus goes on to say in Matthew 21:21-22: “Verily I
say unto you, if you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this
which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, ‘Be
thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea’, it shall be done. And all things,
whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.”
Faith is believing what God says and what He can
do, even when it looks like it won’t happen in the natural. Circumstances are
reality, but God’s Word and His promises are a higher reality. He can change or
reverse situations.
With God, all things are possible. Absolutely nothing
is too difficult for Him. He can intervene in any situation and turn things
completely around. Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore, I say unto you, what things
soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you have received them, and you
shall have them.”
First you have to believe that you have already
received whatever it is that you have asked God for, and then you will see it
happen. Believing that you have already received is like placing an order for
something. You may not see it arrive immediately, but the order was placed and
it’s on the way.
Jesus goes on to further state in Mark 11:25-26:
“And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your
Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do
not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your
trespasses.”
Unforgiveness blocks a person from receiving the
full blessings of God. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the
other person to die from it. It’s not necessarily easy to forgive, but possible
with God’s help. To forgive means to “pardon, to drop the issue, to let go.”
Forgiveness releases us from feeling chained to the person who harmed and
wounded us. Forgiveness helps us to let go of past offenses so we can move on
with our life.
For decades, I had bitterness and unforgiveness in
my heart towards my father for all the years of his verbal and emotional abuse.
He had an anger and rage problem, and would explode and have temper tantrums
and say all kinds of cruel, mean and derogatory things.
He used to tell me all the time that I was
“useless”, and on one occasion when I was 15 years old, he told me that “no man
would ever love me”. I was devastated at the curse he spoke over me. He dashed
my dreams of having a loving, godly husband into a thousand pieces, and he really
battered me verbally. I was single for over 54 years of my life, and it seemed
as if what my dad had “prophesied” over me (that no man would ever love me) was
my reality. However, the Father and Jesus promised me a godly, loving husband,
and I had to get to the place where I believed more of what God said than what
my father said in a fit of rage.
In my dad’s older years, he repented of the deeds
done in his youth (he was only 25 years old when I was born). In his older
years, he became a very kind and considerate man. I eventually forgave him,
with the help of the Holy Spirit. He is a transformed man now, and is a good
husband, father and grandfather. He is in Heaven now, along with my mom. I love
him very much now. But I suffered for years, and missed out on many of God’s
blessings, because of bitterness and unforgiveness.
Bitterness defiles the spirit and soul. But the Lord is able to gently pull out that root of bitterness and fill you with His love and heal the wounds. For decades, I could relate to Jesus and the Holy Spirit, but could not relate to the Father God. It was due to my earthly upbringing from my human father. I could not call the Father “Abba”. But a time came when the Lord gave me a revelation of His fatherhood, and for years now, I’ve been able to pray everyday to the Father, and call Him Abba. Abba is a very affectionate name. I fell in love with the Father, and I trust
We can be confident that God will answer our
prayers and perform those miracles in our lives that we are believing for. John
14:14 says, “If you shall ask anything
in My Name, I will do it.” “Anything” means “anything, all, everything” (as
long as whatever you ask is the will of the Father and there are Scripture
promises for it).
John 15:7 says, “If you abide in Me, and My words
abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.”
God is a Good Father. As we desire to give good
gifts to our children, He desires all the more to give good things to us.
Sometimes we have to say “no” or “not yet” to our children when they ask for
something (if we feel it’s not in their best interest, that it may harm them,
or maybe they are not ready or old enough yet to have what they are asking
for).
Most of the time, God will say “yes” to our
requests.
Things may not always happen when we want it to,
but the Father has His own timing to bring things to fulfillment.
Sometimes God may tell us “no” or “not yet”, if
it’s not His will, not His plan, not good for us, or not the right timing yet.
God is not only in the present, but in the future too. He sees the end from the
beginning. We can trust Him with every decision in life because He has our best
interest at heart.
Just because you prayed about something, and it
hasn’t happened yet, doesn’t necessarily mean that God said no. T.D. Jakes
always says, “Delay does not mean denial.” You have to seek God and listen to
Him to discern what His answer is depending on what you are praying for.
Anyone who is His sheep can hear His Voice (John
10:3-5). It just takes practice in learning to hear God speak. He has many ways
of speaking to us.
Chapter 5
All Things are Possible for
Those Who Believe
Common Ways in Which the
Lord Speaks to Us
In John 10:3-5, Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice, and the voice of a stranger they will not follow. If you are serving the Lord, and put Him as first place in your life, and love Him, and obey His commandments … then you are His sheep. The Lord may speak to you through a prophet or prophetess, but whatever someone prophecies over us should only confirm what we already sense in our spirit. It should bear witness with your spirit. And prophetic words are meant to edify, encourage, comfort and exhort.
The Lord has many ways of speaking to us.
The four most common ways God speaks to all His
children are:
1. The Word of God. The promises
in the Scriptures for whatever situation you are facing reveals God’s will on
the matter. God’s Word is His will, and His Word will not fail. We can claim
those Scriptures and stand on the promises of God.
2. Follow the inward voice
(intuition, deepest gut level feelings, impressions, having a “knowing” about
something even before it’s proven out, nudgings, promptings, a “check” on the
inside letting you know if something is right or wrong, a green light to proceed,
a yellow light to go slow and be cautious, a red light to mean stop, no or not
right now, a velvety warm feeling letting you know that something is right or
to proceed, a peaceful bubbly joy feeling when God is saying “yes”, an inward
stirring, feeling led in a certain direction, a grieving type feeling from the
Holy Spirit when
I would highly recommend a
book by Kenneth E. Hagin Sr. entitled “How You Can Be Led by the Spirit of God”.
3. Confirmations—Maybe you
prayed about something or thought God spoke something to you. Then soon
thereafter, someone says something to you or you read something and it’s
exactly along the lines of what you prayed about or what you felt God spoke to
your heart. Perhaps Scriptures almost jump off the page and speak to your
situation. These are rhema words (“right now” words from the Lord).
4. Quickened words, pictures,
things in nature, lyrics of songs or anything else that you see or hear that
the Holy Spirit quickens to you. You don’t want to take this to an extreme and
get out of balance by feeling like you get a message from every street sign, or
everything people say. But if it fits your situation, and something leaps in
your spirit, then it’s probably a quickened word from the Lord. For instance, I
had a dream where I saw triplet babies. I inquired of the Lord whether they
were girls, boys or both. In the dream, they were only wearing diapers and
their genders were not revealed. Within two or three days, I was scrolling
through social media, and came across a cute picture of three identical kittens.
Two of them had a blue bow wrapped around their necks, and one had a pink bow
around her neck. I felt that the Lord was telling me that the triplets were two
boys and one girl.
It is God's will that no one should perish (end up in hell), but that ALL should come to repentance.
For God so loved this world that He gave His only begotton Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God did not send His Son into this world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him would be saved.
The thief (Satan the devil) comes only for to kill, steal and destroy. But Jesus has come to give us life, and life more abundantly, until it overflows.
I urge you to come to the Cross today and receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord. He will wash away all your sins and make you as clean and white as fresh snow.
Just pray this prayer and mean it with your heart:
Dear Lord Jesus (if you are not able to call him Lord yet, then just say "Jesus")
I receive You as my Savior and Lord. I give my life over to You. I believe that You died and rose again, and that if I call on the Name of the Lord I shall be saved.
I accept you into my heart right now, and confess that You are Lord and have risen from the dead and forever live to make intercession for me.
Thank You for washing my heart pure and clean and making me whole, and for giving me peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Thank You that now I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. The old has gone and the new has come.
And there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh (carnality and sin), but walk after the Spirit. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, I believe you got born again and are now heaven bound and will be with the Lord forever and have eternal life. Your sins are now forgiven. You are accepted in the Beloved.
I would encourage you to find a good Bible based local church to help you grow in your faith, to learn the Word of God, to praise and worship Him, and to have fellowship with the saints.
Serving Christ is the best decision you will ever make.
God bless you!!!
