And Jesus Healed Them All

And Jesus Healed Them All

Matthew 8:16-17 When evening had come, they brought unto Him (Jesus) many that were possessed with devils. And He cast out the spirits with His word, and healed all [Greek word: pas = all, every, everyone, any, the whole] that were sick: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, “Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” (Isaiah 53:4-5).

Jesus Christ is the same God yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). The miracles He did back then, He still does today. And He does even more miracles today since the Holy Spirit has been poured out. In Jesus' earthly ministry, He was only in one place at one time, but the Holy Spirit is everywhere at the same time. In addition, there are more believers on the face of this earth today who are exercising the authority Jesus gave us to heal the sick. We cannot heal anyone in our own strength. We are merely the vessels God uses to touch people through.

There were instances in Jesus' ministry when great multitudes or throngs of people would assemble to listen to Him teach. Or they would follow Him as He traveled along the road to His destination. And Jesus would heal all of them.

Matthew was an eyewitness of Jesus Christ and of the miracles and healings. Matthew testifies of the following in Matthew Chapter 12, verse 15, “But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew Himself from thence: and great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.”

Luke also records in Luke Chapter 6, verses 17-19: “And He came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of His disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judea and Jersualem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear Him, and to be healed of their diseases and they that were vexed with unclean spirits. And they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for there went virtue out of Him, and healed them all.”

The woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus' garment and her bleeding stopped. The testimony of this individual woman is highlighted in Scripture to build our faith and show Jesus' compassion for the sick. Matthew and Mark also record that multitudes of people were healed and made whole of their disease as they touched Jesus' garment.

Matthew 14:35-36 says, “And when the men of that place had knowledge of Him (Jesus), they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto Him all that were diseased. And besought Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment; and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.”

Mark 6:56 says, “And whithersoever He entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought Him that they might touch if it were but the border of His garment; and as many as touched Him were made whole.”

Acts 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him.”

All who had need of healing ... all who desired healing ... all who reached out to Jesus to receive their healing — they were healed. It's the same today. Jesus is passing by this very moment. If we desire to be healed and reach out to Jesus, His healing virtue will make us whole.

Jesus imparted His healing anointing into His disciples and told them to heal the sick and cast out demons. Freely they have received, so freely give.

In Acts 5:14-16, God anointed Peter and used him as an instrument to heal the sick through. It states: “Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.”

God also anointed Paul to heal the sick. Acts 19:11-12 says, “And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul, so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.”

In the Old Covenant, the Lord's benefits are listed in Psalms 103. In verse 3, it says that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases [Hebrew definition of diseases: maladies, disease, sickness, illness, suffering, griefs, wounds, weakness, tiredness, affliction, infirmities, pain].

In the Old Covenant when God brought His people out of Egypt, there was not one feeble person among their tribes (Psalms 105:37).

If God touched all of His people with divine health and strength in the Old Covenant, then how much more does He want to do that in the New Covenant? The New Covenant is a better covenant with better promises.

Healing is the children's bread. Excellent health is a part of God's covenant with His people.

Although healing is for God's children, He is no respecter of persons and shows compassion to all. Being born again is not a pre-requisite for receiving healing. God will heal anyone who receives by faith. However, healing for the body is temporary ... it lasts for as long as we are on this earth. Eternity is forever.

Salvation is the greatest thing, and healing is included in the Blood Atonement of Christ. In Heaven, there is no sickness, death, tears or sorrows. Spending eternity in Heaven with Jesus, face to face, is our greatest hope. In the meantime while we are down here on earth, God wants us to live in excellent health.

God's covenant of health involves our cooperation. We have our part to play in living in divine health by the choices we make in our daily nutritional and lifestyle habits. Although we live under grace, following the dietary and hygienic laws in the Old Testament is best for good health.

God's laws prevent sickness and can even cure disease. Some of us, including myself, lived for many years of our life in an environment of nutritional habits that were detrimental to our health (ie, fried foods, fast food, junk food, sodas, sugar, excessive meat). But God in His mercy, has been renewing our minds and transitioning us out of that bondage and into true liberty. He's been removing the desire for unhealthy things and placing desires in us for life-giving things.

To balance this out, there are some people who do all the right things physically and in their diet, yet still are afflicted with sickness and disease. But Jesus is a healing God and wants to heal you.

Kathryn Kulhman prophesied many years ago that the day would come when everyone who attends a healing meeting would be healed. To take it even further, she also prophesied of a day when every believer in the Body of Christ would be healed and live in Divine health (just like when there were no feeble or sick among all the tribes of Israel who came out of Egypt).

God is doing that work of leading His people into Divine health. He is revealing His Word to the Body of Christ about healing for the spirit, soul, body and finances so that we come into the level of excellent health that God desires for us to live in.

It is God's will that no one should perish (end up in hell), but that ALL should come to repentance.

For God so loved this world that He gave His only begotton Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God did not send His Son into this world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him would be saved.

The thief (Satan the devil) comes only for to kill, steal and destroy. But Jesus has come to give us life, and life more abundantly, until it overflows.

I urge you to come to the Cross today and receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord. He will wash away all your sins and make you as clean and white as fresh snow.

Just pray this prayer and mean it with your heart:

Dear Lord Jesus (if you are not able to call him Lord yet, then just say "Jesus")

I receive You as my Savior and Lord. I give my life over to You. I believe that You died and rose again, and that if I call on the Name of the Lord I shall be saved.

I accept you into my heart right now, and confess that You are Lord and have risen from the dead and forever live to make intercession for me.

Thank You for washing my heart pure and clean and making me whole, and for giving me peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Thank You that now I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. The old has gone and the new has come.

And there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh (carnality and sin), but walk after the Spirit.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, I believe you got born again and are now heaven bound and will be with the Lord forever and have eternal life. Your sins are now forgiven. You are accepted in the Beloved.

I would encourage you to find a good Bible based local church to help you grow in your faith, to learn the Word of God, to praise and worship Him, and to have fellowship with the saints.

Serving Christ is the best decision you will ever make.

God bless you!!!
