Wait
on the Lord, and You Will Inherit the Land
The message for today is: “Wait on the Lord, and
you will inherit the land.”
Psalms 27:14 NKJV
Wait on the Lord; be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Psalms 37:34 NKJV
Wait on the Lord, and keep His way,
And He shall exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
Psalms 62:5-6 NKJV
5 My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense; I shall not be moved.
Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV
28 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases
strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their
strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Lamentations 3:25 NKJV
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 AMP
2 And the Lord answered me and said, Write the
vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be
able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time and
it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though
it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be
behindhand on its appointed day.
Don’t get impatient, upset, angry or frustrated
being parked at the red light, and when it seems like nothing is happening.
You may see a large vision and all the details, and
all these wonderful things God is going to do in your life and ministry, yet
nothing seems to be happening for the vision to come to pass. Everything is at
a standstill. There is hardly any growth taking place. It is very frustrating
to say the least.
If we try to jump into the next season premature
without first finishing out the season God still has you in, then that
spiritual baby inside of your spiritual womb will not be fully developed yet
and there will be complications that result.
Leaping premature into the next season will result
in not having that same level of grace, anointing and empowerment to deal with
the new challenges and new devils. As they say, “New levels, new devils.”
Right now you may be attacked by weak common devils
that you can cast out. But are you ready for when the major principalities and
powers oppose you and give you backlash? You first have to be trained in
warfare before going to the new higher level and for dealing with growth and
expansion.
Jesus has already been in the future, and sees what
is up the road, depending on the decisions we make and the timing of stepping
out. He sees all the pitfalls and the bends in the road.
He is fully aware of the schemes of the enemy
(devil), because the devil also has evil plans for our life and ministry too to
destroy us and our ministry, so that is why we should never move ahead
premature, out of impatience and desperation, as long as we are parked at the
red light.
The Lord sees the bandits hiding up the road lying
in wait to ambush us, and sometimes that is why He has us at a standstill or
diverts us a new direction to reach the destination He has appointed for us.
God is looking at the situation in its wholeness.
He sees the entire picture. While we are waiting, He is in the process of
removing the boulders out of the road, making the crooked places straight,
leveling the mountains, filling up the valleys, smoothing out the pot holes in
the road, widening the road to make it an easier three lanes each way highway
to drive on rather than a narrow one lane snake trail that poses more dangers.
The aim of the enemy is to tempt you to become
impatient and frustrated, and even get angry and upset at times too, when the
vision is taking too long to come to pass, and nothing seems to be happening,
and to jump into the next season too soon trying to force something to happen.
Then an Ishmael may be born, and that will only bring frustration and
complications.
When running ahead of the timing of God, and
putting your foot on the accelerator when the stoplight is still “red”, might
result in the vision you have miscarrying or being born premature, and then
there would be many issues to have to deal with, and the situation would be so
overwhelming, and things ending up not turning out like you envisioned it would
be.
Then it can result in confusion and
disillusionment, and disappointment. We may think to ourselves, “What happened
… I saw the vision clearly … I know the Lord spoke to me …. So why did things
backfire and not work out like I thought it would? … Maybe I missed God in the
first place???” (and then the enemy begins to bombard our mind with all of
these doubts and lies to keep us upset over the matter).
It’s not a matter of missing God or hearing wrong,
but a matter of not being patient enough to wait upon the timing of the Lord.
Another strategy of the enemy is to get us hooked
up with the wrong people that God does not want us in association with, for His
own reasons. He sees the entire picture, and also fully knows the motives and
intentions of people’s hearts. Getting involved with the wrong people, that God
did not assign to your life to help you fulfill that vision, can also lead to
major complications and chaos too. And then things won’t turn out like you
thought it would.
Also, we can’t assume that what worked out
successfully for one person or a certain ministry is the same way it would work
out for us if we copied what they did. We are not someone else. Every person’s
situation, and every ministry’s situation, is a unique case in God’s sight.
A ministry is like a marriage. Although there are
common ups and downs and patterns seen among marriages in the natural, and
those called to minister to marriages from a public platform can offer
generalized advice and counsel for common marital issues, at the same time each
marriage is a unique situation, with a whole set of unique issues. What works
for one couple, may not be the solution that works for a different couple. Each
situation is different than the next, and a separate case altogether.
God has the strategy and plan that will work in
your life and ministry. Then things will turn out above and beyond what you
hoped, imagined and envisioned. It will be more glorious and successful than
you ever thought possible. Growth and expansion will start taking place so fast
that your head will be swimming and you will have to run to catch up with
things. True joy and peace will flow like a river.
It takes patience and devotion to just rest and
relax in God and wait upon the Lord to get the direction, revelation, wisdom
and insight of what to do, and when to do it.
When it’s the right timing for things to begin
happening, things will begin to fall into place without us having to force
something to happen. There will be a grace and anointing that comes to enter
into new territory and take on new challenges. The Heavens will begin to open
up and the rain will begin to fall. You will have favor with God and man. Doors
will begin opening all around you. People will begin seeking you out.
The Lord is sending His angels, who are ministering
spirits to the heirs of salvation, to begin setting up some Divine appointments
for you. They will also work out some major details behind the scenes that you
are not even aware of, and make sure you get associated with the right people
God has appointed to walk this journey with you to assist you in seeing the
vision come to pass so that things turn out the way God intends it to which
would bring lasting joy and peace.
The flesh will get you nowhere, but following the
Spirit will bring the successful results you are seeking for.
“Wait, I say, on the Lord.” Trust His plan. It will
turn out better than you think.
It is God's will that no one should perish (end up in hell), but that ALL should come to repentance.
For God so loved this world that He gave His only begotton Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God did not send His Son into this world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him would be saved.
The thief (Satan the devil) comes only for to kill, steal and destroy. But Jesus has come to give us life, and life more abundantly, until it overflows.
I urge you to come to the Cross today and receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord. He will wash away all your sins and make you as clean and white as fresh snow.
Just pray this prayer and mean it with your heart:
Dear Lord Jesus (if you are not able to call him Lord yet, then just say "Jesus")
I receive You as my Savior and Lord. I give my life over to You. I believe that You died and rose again, and that if I call on the Name of the Lord I shall be saved.
I accept you into my heart right now, and confess that You are Lord and have risen from the dead and forever live to make intercession for me.
Thank You for washing my heart pure and clean and making me whole, and for giving me peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Thank You that now I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. The old has gone and the new has come.
And there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh (carnality and sin), but walk after the Spirit. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
