Jesus in the Song of Solomon and Walking by Faith

Jesus in the Song of Solomon

Lily of the Valley

Rose of Sharon

It’s often said that Jesus is the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valley in the Song of Solomon.

But actually, this is speaking of His Bride.

The Bride says to her groom,

“I am like a rose of Sharon and lily of the valley”. I am not special, but one in a million.

In Israel during the Spring time, the entire coast line and hills and flat land is filled with wild roses of Sharon and lilies of the valley. They produce profusely.

But the Groom responds back to her, “You are unique, one of a kind, there is nobody else quite like you.

You are a precious jewel that stands out among all the other women. You are different than most of the other women.

You don’t blend in with the masses, but you stand out and are unique and valuable in my sight.

You are set apart by God from your mother’s womb. You are different than the rest.

Someday you will be a prophet to the nations and a preacher of the Word of God.

Jesus is also likened to a Boaz who redeems Ruth (representing His Bride) and they have a son whose offspring is the Davidic Dynasty and the generations that lead to the birth of Christ.

Boaz was a very kind, gentle, and good man. He was wealthy and healthy and owned lands and vineyards. He was a very godly man.

When he saw Ruth’s desperate plea, he took her to be his wife and they had a son.

And he also was very generous and provided for Ruth’s mother-n-law Naomi for the rest of her life.

Ruth and Naomi were living in poverty, and Boaz had compassion on them and rescued them and took both of them into his home.

Boaz was married to several other women simultaneously (that was acceptable and honorable in the culture back then so women would not live in dire poverty but have a husband to take care of them for life).

He had dozens of other sons and daughters from his other wives. He provided lavishly for all of his wives and offspring.

He had the same number of sons as daughters history records (I think 30 of each gender). He had a very large family, but provided well for everybody.

Sons back in that day were considered more preferable and valuable than having girls. But Boaz purposely decided to have 30 of each gender because he believed in equality.

He felt that daughters were just as valuable as sons. He was a rich man monetarily and also rich in goodness, generosity, kindness, provision, love and respect.

Boaz represents my dear sweet Jesus.

Jesus is healthy and wealthy like Boaz was. Like Boaz, Jesus owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He provides generously for all of His children of God.

The Scripture says that my God shall supply all of my needs according to “His” riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

We are not prosperous because of “our” income, but because of Christ’s riches in glory.

He has provision for your needs and He desires that all of your needs be met, and that you would prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.

He came to give you abundant life, till it overflows. John 10:10.

Just trust Him today to meet all of your needs, including financial provision and increase.

He promised in His Word that He would increase you and your children and your children’s children down to a thousand generations.

If you are in a financial crisis, or if your body is sick and battles with disease, He is the God of wealth and health.

He is also the God of restoration. Everything the enemy stole from you He will repay you.

He is also the God of love, joy, peace, faith and hope. He desires for you to live in hope everyday, and to have the joy of the Lord which is your strength.

He desires for you to live in peace and to pursue peace, and to forsake all strife.

He desires for you to be filled to overflowing with the love of God, and to lavish that love in your heart on to your family, friends and others.

We know we have passed from death to life because we love the brethren.

He that loveth knoweth God, but he who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

There is no fear or dread in love, but perfect (mature) love drives out all fear. Fear involves torment, and the person who fears does not know God’s love yet.

The love of God is vast like an ocean that never runs dry.

The Lord is merciful and kind, and loving towards all He has made.

It is NOT His will that anyone perish (go to hell), but to have everlasting life (go to heaven).

Jesus stands at the door of your heart and knocks. If you will open the door and allow Him to come in, He will sup (dine) with you and you with Him. You will share sweet fellowship.

That is what John the Beloved taught. He was an Apostle of Love.

Jesus loved us before we met Him and fell in love with Him. Because He loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches. The Father is the gardener. He cuts off all branches in me that does not bear any fruit, but the branches that do bear fruit, He prunes, so that it will become even more fruitful. You have to remain connected to the Vine (Jesus) in order to produce good fruit that will last.

You have been made clean by the Word of God.

The Lord says, “Come now let us reason together. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

As far as the east is from the west, so far has God removed our transgressions from us.

The Lord forgives all of our sins and heals all of our diseases. He is a God of mercy and goodness!

He promised that He would never leave you or forsake You, and never fail you or forsake you.

He is always with you until the end of the world.

True lasting peace is found in Christ and in Him alone.

He is able to turn your sorrow and mourning into joy and gladness, and you will dance and be merry as in your youth.

He is able to turn your dry barren wilderness into a blossoming garden with green grass and flowers.

He causes rivers of water to flow even in the wilderness, and rivers of oil in the high places.

The rivers of oil speak of a “rich anointing”. Butter in the Bible also speaks of a rich anointing, as also does yellow corn on the cob dipped in honey. That represents prosperity.

The Lord is able to redeem the lost years and failed hopes and restore your fortunes.

He came to heal the brokenhearted and to bind up their wounds. He came to share the “good news” (it’s good positive news) of the Gospel of Peace. He came to comfort all who mourn.

To give them beauty for ashes, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called “oaks of righteousness”, the planting of the Lord.

They shall receive double blessings for all their trouble.

Oak trees are among the most strongest trees there are with very deep and wide root systems. Rarely does a fierce storm knock down a mature oak tree.

You shall be a Priest of the Lord and your soul shall be satiated with God’s goodness. You shall see the goodness of God in the land of the living.

You shall be happy and dance again as in your youth before the trouble began. You shall spring forth like a beautiful rose of Sharon and lily of the valley flowers that bloom profusely in their season.

If you delight yourself in the Lord, He will grant the desires of your heart.

If your delight is in Him, and you dwell in His Word day and night, you shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.

You shall bloom in your season, and your leaves shall not wither. You shall be fresh and green and satiated. Whatsoever you do shall prosper.

The Lord will grant the barren woman children. She will have a full house. Her children shall be like olive plants around their table.

Your children shall be blessed, and your grandchildren and future generations as far back as 1000 generations.

You shall bloom wherever you are planted.

Any suffering you are going through will not last forever, but it has an expiration date. When you have suffered a little while, the Lord will establish you and deliver you of that affliction.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him or her from them ALL!!!

Weeping may endure for a night (temporary season) but joy comes in the morning (a brand new day).

David said, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever!”

In God’s Presence there is fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore.

He will plant you in the House of the Lord and you will flourish like the palm tree and like the olive tree forever and ever.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. Faith is your shield that extinguishes all the fiery darts of the devil. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world.

If you have faith as a tiny mustard seed, and believe in your heart that you shall receive what you are believing for, you shall have what you “say”.

There is tremendous power in the spoken word. What you declare, God will do in your life.

You have to learn to call things that are not in existence as though they already were in existence. That is what Abraham did, and Isaac was born, the Son of Promise after they waited for 25 years.

You have to have the spirit of faith, which begins to speak out the promises in God’s Word.

If you have a need, begin to plant seed for whatever it is you are believing for. Eventually you will see the fulfillment of the promise and your prayers will come to pass.

NOTE: If you have any bitterness or unforgiveness, or doubt and unbelief, in your heart, then you cannot expect to receive anything from the Lord. Unforgiveness will hinder your prayers from being answered.

If you waver back and forth like James talks about, you cannot expect to receive anything from the Lord.

When you stand praying, forgive others even as God forgave you. If you refuse to forgive others, then God’s hands are tied and He cannot forgive you.

And then you can enter into Heaven and receive the promises of God if you walk in forgiveness and love.

Don’t allow a root of bitterness to defile your soul and spirit. Allow the Lord to remove that deadly root.

Whatever ought or anger you have with someone, whether your spouse, family members, co-workers or you are disappointed with God … just learn to drop the issue and let it go. Move forward with your life.

Let go of any unforgiveness, as that will hinder your walk with God and you won't receive what you are believing for. Your prayers will be hindered.

Also, if unforgiveness and bitterness is never dealt with, it could cost you your salvation and you being turned over to the torturers (demons in hell).

When you trust in God’s timing in your life, then hope will not disappoint. You have to hold on tight to the rope of hope and hang in there until your situation changes. God is faithful and hears your cries.

But He is a God of Faith, and you won’t see very many results in your situation until you develop your hope and faith.

Faith is the substance of things “hoped for”, the evidence of things not seen. You first have to have hope, before you can have faith.

Hope is what gives you the strength to endure a trial or tribulation and come out the winner on the other side.

Hope is the anchor of faith.

Without hope, faith won’t work right.

Work on developing hope, and then increasing in faith, and you will begin to see answers to prayer and the promises of God come to pass in your life.

Declare what you would like to come to pass, and daily speak it into existence.

That is what Joyce Meyer did many years ago, and now look at where she is at (rich, healthy, wealthy, healed, whole, confident, has a powerful ministry, a wonderful husband, four beautiful children).

The Lord says that your sins are forgiven.

Walk in the light as God is in the Light. To walk in love, is the same as walking in the Light.

Let go of jealousy, envy, malice, ill will, and be glad and happy for other people’s success and blessings. Then eventually your rewards shall come.

Quit comparing yourself to other people. Your blessings shall come in due time.

Do not criticize television ministers and others, as you will lose rewards and it will take a lot longer for you to receive the blessings and answers to prayer you are seeking for.

Never speak against God’s anointed!!!

It could cause pre-mature death. And you will lose out on receiving your blessings.

What you help make happen for others, God will make happen for you.

If you refresh others, then you too shall be refreshed.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

It is God's will that no one should perish (end up in hell), but that ALL should come to repentance.

For God so loved this world that He gave His only begotton Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God did not send His Son into this world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him would be saved.

The thief (Satan the devil) comes only for to kill, steal and destroy. But Jesus has come to give us life, and life more abundantly, until it overflows.

I urge you to come to the Cross today and receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord. He will wash away all your sins and make you as clean and white as fresh snow.

Just pray this prayer and mean it with your heart:

Dear Lord Jesus (if you are not able to call him Lord yet, then just say "Jesus")

I receive You as my Savior and Lord. I give my life over to You. I believe that You died and rose again, and that if I call on the Name of the Lord I shall be saved.

I accept you into my heart right now, and confess that You are Lord and have risen from the dead and forever live to make intercession for me.

Thank You for washing my heart pure and clean and making me whole, and for giving me peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Thank You that now I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. The old has gone and the new has come.

And there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh (carnality and sin), but walk after the Spirit.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, I believe you got born again and are now heaven bound and will be with the Lord forever and have eternal life. Your sins are now forgiven. You are accepted in the Beloved.

I would encourage you to find a good Bible based local church to help you grow in your faith, to learn the Word of God, to praise and worship Him, and to have fellowship with the saints.

Serving Christ is the best decision you will ever make.

God bless you!!!
