Scriptures on the Gentleness
of God
But
we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children. 1
Thessalonians 2:7
And
the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to
teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God
peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. 2
Timothy 2:24-25
To
speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto
all men. Titus 3:2
But
the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy
to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without
hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make
peace. James 3:17-18
Servants,
be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but
also to the froward. 1 Peter 2:18
Thou
hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me
great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip. 2
Samuel 22:36-37
Thou
hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden
me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under
me, that my feet did not slip. Psalms 18:35-36
Now
I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in
presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you. 2 Corinthians
10:1
But
the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they
that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we
live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galations 5:22-25
