Scriptures
on the Compassion of God
It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his
compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and
have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the
nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee. Deuteronomy 30:3
But
thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and
plenteous in mercy and truth. Psalms 86:15
He hath made his wonderful works to be
remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion. He hath given meat
unto them that fear him. He will ever be mindful of His covenant. Psalms
111:4-5
Unto
the upright there arises light in the darkness. He is gracious, and full of
compassion, and righteous. Psalms 112:4
The
Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. Psalms
145:8-9
Can
a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the
son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I
have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before
me. Isaiah 49:15-16
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved
with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as
sheep having no shepherd. Matthew 9:36
And
Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion
toward them, and he healed their sick. Matthew 14:14
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet
a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on
his neck, and kissed him. Luke 15:20
For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have
mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Romans 9:15
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of
another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous. 1 Peter 3:8
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need,
and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God
in him? 1 John 3:17
And of some have compassion, making a difference. Jude 22
It is God's will that no one should perish (end up in hell), but that ALL should come to repentance.
For God so loved this world that He gave His only begotton Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God did not send His Son into this world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him would be saved.
The thief (Satan the devil) comes only for to kill, steal and destroy. But Jesus has come to give us life, and life more abundantly, until it overflows.
I urge you to come to the Cross today and receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord. He will wash away all your sins and make you as clean and white as fresh snow.
Just pray this prayer and mean it with your heart:
Dear Lord Jesus (if you are not able to call him Lord yet, then just say "Jesus")
I receive You as my Savior and Lord. I give my life over to You. I believe that You died and rose again, and that if I call on the Name of the Lord I shall be saved.
I accept you into my heart right now, and confess that You are Lord and have risen from the dead and forever live to make intercession for me.
Thank You for washing my heart pure and clean and making me whole, and for giving me peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Thank You that now I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. The old has gone and the new has come.
And there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh (carnality and sin), but walk after the Spirit. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, I believe you got born again and are now heaven bound and will be with the Lord forever and have eternal life. Your sins are now forgiven. You are accepted in the Beloved.
I would encourage you to find a good Bible based local church to help you grow in your faith, to learn the Word of God, to praise and worship Him, and to have fellowship with the saints.
Serving Christ is the best decision you will ever make.
